What's happening to the world?

What's happened to the world we're in?
Where rape and murder is such a common thing?

Where women and babies stand on the street and cry,
Whilst other's simply walk on by?

Where someone runs to a dog with a twisted paw,
And ignores the man, with the empty bottle of pills
clenched in his fist, lying on the floor?

What's happened to human compassion?
Why does religion fight against religion?

Where's the love that must have been?
What's happened to happiness, once seen?
